Upcoming classes

The Advanced class which Hepcat Productions is offering will be an Aerials class.  These classes are rare and normally are only offered once a year, but due to popular demand, this is the second time it will be taught this year.

Thursday Sept 14th-Russian Center 8:45-11:30.

Saturday Sept 16-HaLo 9:30-12:30.

Sunday Sept 17-Century Ballroom Solomon Douglas Swingtet.  9:30-12:30.  $10.

-Mountaineers Club.  Bob Schultz' Frisco Jazz Band.  1:00-5:30 pm.  $13.  Under 21 free with a member.

Monday Sept 18-Sonny Newman's.  9:30-12:00.  $5, $3 students.

Things to plan for

Killer Diller Ball-December 2nd & 3rd
The dressiest Seattle event.  The Killer Diller Ball is a two day event which will feature: A rare dance clips presentation, a Harvest Moon Lindy Competition, an Endurance Competition, a 1940's womens hair styling class, the Ham Carson Quintet and the New Orleans Ale Stars.  Formal dress REQUIRED.  A very good excuse to splurge on a nice dress.  :)
$24 for everything, $2 for women's hair class, $7 for Saturday dance, $15 for Sunday night dance.  Competition $10/couple.

Jitterbug Weekend with Peter Strom and Caitlin George-October 27th-29th
Peter Strom and Caitlin George will be teaching lindy workshops all weekend at the Washington Dance Club.  Only $99 if you register by Sept 25th.

SwingOut Northwest-Dec 26th-Jan 1st
A bi-annual Washington swing dance camp in the woods including six live bands and several tracks of classes.  Instructors include Frankie Manning and Chazz Young.  Registration is not yet open.

Emerald City Blues Festival-Nov 10-12th
Live blues bands and workshops with nationally acclaimed instructors, including Giselle, Mike Faltesek and Jojo Jackson. If you register before October 20th, the whole weekend is $120, a dance pass is $50 and workshops are $75.

Pacific Northwest Lindy Hop Championships-?
They normally come in early October, but thus far the dates have not been posted.  Even if you are not considering competing, you can still go and watch the competitions.

UW Swingkids Dawg Daze Dance

Saturday Sept. 23rd, 8-11 pm in the HUB 108.  Be there!
